Mini detox from Ineke

Over the past month we have all enjoyed delicious and plentiful food and drinks. But now it's time to reset your body in a sustainable and healthy way with a mini-detox.

Yes, let's go for a mini-detox that can also be maintained for longer!
Not a too strict juice cleanse, but a mild detox to reduce the toxins in our body and reset our body.
Our body is so often exposed to toxic substances in what we eat and drink and in the air we breathe.
Detoxing is therefore the ideal way to feel fit and fresh again.

Benefits of a mini detox:

  • More energy and you sleep better
  • You feel better and stronger mentally
  • More beautiful skin
  • Less cravings for sugar
  • Better digestion and bowel movements
  • Your immune system becomes stronger

Which factors are stressful for our body:

  • Alcohol
  • Medicines
  • Too many refined sugars
  • Chronic stress
  • Too much animal protein

Very easy to start and maintain:

Breakfast:
Enjoy a nutritious breakfast. This week, ditch your Nutella sandwiches and opt for a healthy smoothie.
I would really like to share my recipe for my absolute favorite, which I have been drinking every morning for several years now!
Start with a large glass of lukewarm water with lemon juice from half a lemon. This way your body gets going and wakes up again :-)

Beet-berry smoothie (so yummy)

  • 500 ml Soy milk
  • 1 small steamed beetroot (in vacuum bags in the supermarket)
  • 1 teaspoon Maca
  • 1 teaspoon Guarana
  • 1 teaspoon of pure Cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • Handful of wild blueberries (frozen)
  • Handful of spinach (frozen)

And blend! Sooooo delicious!!!

Snack:
500ml 'Total Detox' 100% natural herbal infusion with piece of black chocolate (>70% cocoa) or piece of banana cake or oatmeal cookie.
PS: the tea reduces my hunger a lot :-)

Lunch:
Healthy lunch with lots of vegetables. (don't forget your green vegetables! These contain chlorophyll, which can prevent skin aging)

Snack :
500ml 'Beautiful skin' 100% natural herbal infusion with piece of black chocolate or piece of banana cake or oatmeal cookie.
I often have a Matcha latte with soy milk and honey at 4-5 p.m., so that I can continue until dinner without being hungry :-)
Very simple to make:
Heat a cup of soy milk and stir in matcha powder. Beat well so that the powder is completely dissolved. A little honey, hmmmm!!!

Dinner:
Healthy meal with few carbohydrates, few animal fats, but lots of vegetables!
After dinner I take a soothing cup of 'Light Glow' 100% natural herbal infusion . There is no green tea in this to give me a boost before going to sleep. So delicious and helps me relax after a busy day at work.

Movement:
I realize better than anyone that exercise is often 'forgotten'. Yes, I am also a working mom of 2 children :-)
But I still try to put on my running shoes twice a week. Every time my mind is at zero, especially with these cold temperatures, but every time it gives me such a satisfied feeling! Bye bye gloomy thoughts and hello resistance boost!

Keep up this mini-detox for at least 2 weeks (and preferably longer), and feel the difference!
