The perfect way to integrate a self-tanner into your self-care routine

Maintain your tan with these natural, vegan self-tanners:

Before you start, we recommend applying the self-tanner in the evening. Why? Because you want to avoid using other skin care and makeup products and UV exposure immediately after applying your self-tanner.

Step 1: Cleaning
Gently cleanse your face/body to remove all impurities and makeup.

Step 2: Scrub
Remove dead cells to get the most even color. Don't forget your neck and décolleté.

Step 3: Toner
Balance the skin's pH with a toner. A toner helps to shrink the pores for a perfectly smooth result.

Step 4: Hydration
Make sure your skin is well hydrated - this will help your self-tanner to spread better for a perfectly even result.
After applying your moisturizer, let the skin rest for 30-60 minutes.

Step 5: Protect your eyebrows
Protect your eyebrows and hairline.

Step 6: Fake it!
Apply the Fake It self-tanning facial serum all over the face, neck and décolleté with gentle, circular movements. Wash your hands thoroughly. Clean the eyebrows with a cotton swab to prevent excessive browning.

If you have dark pigment spots, remove the self-tanner with a cotton swab so that they do not darken.

Use the Fake It self-tan milk for the body.

Let the serum absorb for at least 15 minutes. Do not use any other skin care product.
Your tan will appear within 4-6 hours.
To enhance your tan, reapply the self-tanner 24 hours after first use. You can skip the scrub this time!

Step 7: Keep Your Glow
Maintain your sun-kissed complexion for longer by using extra moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated. Don't forget your sunscreen.
Reapply the Fake It Healthy Glow Self-Tan Serum or the Fake It Selftan Milk if your tan starts to fade - repeat the whole routine.
