Most conventional conditioners use silicones and mineral oils to make your hair shine. And they both load in synthetic fragrances to keep your hair smelling good.
Unfortunately, many natural shampoos and conditioners fall short because it is very difficult to achieve the benefits of a conventional shampoo using safe, natural ingredients.
That is why we are very selective in offering organic haircare brands, because we set very high standards. After a very long search, we have found a number of brands that do it differently:

1. How does it create the lather we all crave without harmful surfactants?
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), and Ammonium Laurel Sulfate (ALS) are definitely on our "no" list of ingredients.
Many studies on safe cosmetics agree with this.
These surfactants, detergents and emulsifiers are used in almost all conventional shampoos, as well as in industrial cleaners, because they are said to create an abundant lather.
Although SLS originally comes from coconuts, the chemical is anything but natural.
The real problem with SLES/SLS is that the manufacturing process (ethoxylation) results in SLES/SLS being contaminated with 1,4 dioxane, a carcinogenic byproduct.
Many of our brands replace these potentially harmful substances with Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, which is not harmful at all.
Naturally derived from coconut, this gentle substance produces a luxurious lather and provides excellent cleansing and moisturizing properties that leave the hair and scalp clean and hydrated.
2. How do natural brands achieve a nice scent without synthetic fragrances?
The answer is: essential oils! Nature offers so many nice scents, let us use them too!
Each brand has created its own unique combination of essential oils to create the perfect scent.
